Palworld is the biggest game of the year so far with over 25 million players since early access in January. The game has been an absolute phenomenon and some of its success stems from being a day one launch on Xbox Game Pass. Microsoft has demonstrated its admiration for the game, and some Palworld fans are hoping it will be present at today’s Xbox Partner Preview showcase set to start soon.
Pocketpair has released two back-to-back updates for Palworld on Xbox. One of these updates added a significant change players must know about concerning fire and ice, meanwhile, the other stealthily added censorship not included in the patch notes.
Although there’s no proof, some fans have laid the blame on Xbox for the censoring of names and words. Microsoft has a clear admiration for the game reportedly using it to showcase the future of Xbox games, and, although not named, some fans are hoping Palworld will be part of tonight’s Partner Preview.
Palworld fans hope for Xbox Partner Preview appearance
The Xbox Partner Preview showcase is set for 10 AM PT/ 1 PM ET/ 6 PM GMT on March 6th. You will be able to watch the event live on the Xbox YouTube and Twitch channels. Per Microsoft’s website, it will feature a ‘mix of new and upcoming games for you from publishers like Capcom, Nexon, EA, and others with more than a dozen new trailers over the course of a 30-minute broadcast’.
Some of the specifically named games for the showcase are Tales of Kenzera: Zau, Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess, and The First Berserker: Khazan. The entire showcase will ‘feature updates on a variety of Xbox and Windows games,’ but unfortunately, there’s no mention or hint of Palworld.
The odds of Palworld appearing are very, very slim, but some fans are still praying for an appearance. On the Pocketpair Discord channel, a user posted ‘Xbox partner preview with Palworld news in 5 hours’. Unfortunately, despite this user’s post, the game is not confirmed to be appearing.
Another user posted ‘I’m hoping the Xbox partner preview has some great news for Palworld’ to which another user replied, ‘Same’.
Again, it’s not confirmed to be at the show and is unlikely, but hopefully, it will make an appearance. Don’t expect Microsoft to buy Palworld dev Pocketpair as Forbes expects, but we do know Xbox is officially partnering with Palworld to bring dedicated servers to console soon. In addition, Microsoft is running a competition where fans win a custom Palworld Xbox console and controller.
