Wondering when the Kingmakers release date is? After dropping its first trailer, Kingmakers blew up across social media for its bizarre fusion of medieval warfare and modern technology. So if you’re looking to mow down medieval knights from the comfort of your car, when can you expect to play it?

Kingmakers release date estimate
Kingmakers is set to release at some point during 2024. The game from developer Redemption Road and published by indie giants tinyBuild dropped a surprise trailer in February. Right at the end of the game’s trailer, we receive confirmation that the game will be releasing during 2024, however it doesn’t get more specific than that.
We predict that the game will release during the latter half of 2024. Given that this surprise trailer was the first we had heard of the game, combined with the vague release window suggests to us that the game is still fairly far from being ready to launch. If it were releasing soon, we’d likely have a more accurate date, so late 2024 seems like a reasonable expectation.
Kingmakers gameplay
We don’t know too much about the ins and outs of Kingmakers’ gameplay, but we like what we’ve seen so far. The premise of the game appears to be that you have travelled back in time from a post-apocalyptic future, and armed with modern technology you set out to alter history by winning wars for certain sides.
The game puts you right in the action, in the midst of two warring armies. You will be armed with modern armor and weapons such as shotguns, grenades and more. As well as that, you can seemingly acquire a car at one point, letting you indiscriminately mow down everyone in your path. What’s not to love?
There also appear to be some strategy elements too, with brief clips of you controlling an army, manoeuvring them around the battlefield.
Kingmakers trailers
The Kingmakers announcement trailer was first released in February 2024. At first, it seems like a regular medieval combat game a la Chivalry. Things quickly change with a Back to the Future-style time travel sequence showing your car blink from a ruined city into the midst of the battlefield. Things devolve from there with the player using a range of guns to take down everyone in their path.
