Blizzard is set to soon celebrate the 10th anniversary of their hugely popular card game, Hearthstone. The event begins in less than a week and it will run through March with rewards even available for World of Warcraft. Here is the Hearthstone 10-year anniversary event start date along with how to get the WoW mount reward.
This year should be exciting for fans of Blizzard. The first Blizzard game since Microsoft’s acquisition is joining Xbox Game Pass in March 2024, and Blizzard has shared a roadmap for World of Warcraft 2024. This roadmap includes the release date window for The War Within expansion which is hugely anticipated by the community.
While the War Within isn’t slated to arrive for WoW until Fall, the Hearthstone 10-year anniversary event start date is right around the corner. And, if you’re a fan of it and World of Warcraft, you definitely don’t want to miss out on this fiery steed.
When does the Hearthstone 10th anniversary event start?
The start date for the Hearthstone 10-year anniversary event is February February 27th. From there until March 19th you will have the opportunity to participate in an in-game event.
Per Blizzard’s Welcome to the Year of Pegasus blog post, this in-game event will have a rewards track to earn Golden versions of all the “Gift” cards. In addition, there will be a specific Birthday coin to unlock, too.
Although the event begins on February 27th, the official anniversary is March 11th. When this day comes, there will be a Legendary Quest for you to complete to earn a 10-Year Anniversary Card Back. The event altogether will last until March 19th.
In addition to the in-game event and rewards track, on March 11th players will celebrate the game’s anniversary with the Hearthstone: Music from the Tavern album that has over 30 in-game songs. This will launch Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube.
Lastly, from March 11th at 10 AM PT/ 1 PM ET/ 6 PM GMT until the same hours on March 12th, fans will have the chance to unlock Twitch Drops rewards. These rewards haven’t been revealed yet, but they will be unlocked by watching streamers with Drops enabled.
How to get Hearthstone 10 year anniversary event World of Warcraft mount
In addition to everything already mentioned, starting from March 11th the Hearthstone 10-year anniversary event will allow players to unlock a new mount for World of Warcraft. This new WoW mount is a Fiery Hearthsteed.
All you will need to do to unlock this mount is simply have a Hearthstone account and log into the game starting March 11th. You need to log in before May 14th otherwise you will miss out on capturing the fiery steed for free.
