Bethesda has now confirmed that former Xbox exclusive Hi-Fi Rush is coming to PlayStation 5 next month, following an earlier leak revealing the date going live before it was intended.
The colorful rhythm-based was long rumoured to be one of the four unnamed Xbox games declared last week as going multiformat, but was finally confirmed by an official announcement just under a week following an Xbox Podcast by Phil Spencer.
.The PlayStation 5 release will include all the updates the Xbox version has enjoyed so far, including two additional gameplay modes by the names of BPM Rush! and Power Up! Tower Up!

According to the now official trailer, Hi-Fi Rush will arrive on March 18, 2024. That means it’ll be on Sony consoles in just over a month’s time.
The trailer was originally accidentally posted early a few hours before the official announcement by the Bethesda LATAM Spanish language channel. It was quickly made private, but not before the internet had already spotted it, with the trailer then being posted to social media.
The game itself, meanwhile, originally launched as a surprise drop on Xbox back in January of 2023, at the end of that year’s Xbox Developer Direct. It got a ton of plaudits from players and critics alike upon its launch. It’ll be interesting to see how it’s received on PlayStation now they’ll be getting their chance to play it.
Hi-Fi Rush marked a massive departure from Tango Gameworks’ usual fare, as it’s previously worked on horror themed titles such as The Evil Within series and Ghostwire Tokyo. Set in a brightly coloured future, it includes robot dogs and very OTT characters.
Hi-Fi Rush will be the third of four Xbox games going multiplatform as both Grounded and Pentiment – both by Obsidian – were confirmed as heading to Nintendo Switch during today’s Nintendo Direct Partner Broadcast.
That leaves one more game to be revealed – so fans will be waiting with baited breath to find out which other former Xbox exclusive will make the jump.
