Skull and Bones: How to Find Jiwe
Jiwe is a major landmark in Skull and Bones and home to the Ungwana faction. Here is where to locate the capital settlement.
How to Find Cobalt in Skull and Bones
Cobalt, much like many of the harvestable resources in Skull and Bones, can be purchased at many of the game’s merchants and vendors with your hard-earned silver. However, vendor stock is generally time-sensitive and is subject to frequent changes in both items and price, so it is usually a matter of being in the right place at the right time. If you’re on the hunt for a reliable source of Cobalt, you’ll need to set sail to the north-western quadrant of the map.
Cobalt is at its most plentiful in the top-left section of the map in Skull and Bones. If you have explored a lot of the terrain in the game, you’ll be able to find Cobalt quickly by fast-travelling to the Sunken Goldmine outpost in Skull and Bones. The metal is in great supply, particularly to the north of the outpost, and is distinguishable by its red icon on the map that resembles a rock.
How to Harvest Cobalt in Skull and Bones
The harvesting process in Skull and Bones is relatively consistent, regardless of the material you are foraging. So, whether its plant fibers like Acacia or something more solid like Cobalt, the button input will be the same. The only difference is the visual representation of the mini-game, which reflects the specific item you are collecting.
To harvest Cobalt, you will need to move your ship in Skull and Bones next to an ore of the gem and hit the indicated button to begin the process. You will then be taken through a mini-game where you will need to press the indicated button when the icon reaches the yellow or green zones. The green zones provide you with bonus resources, however, if you miss both zones, your harvest may come to an abrupt end.
How to Get Cobalt Ingot in Skull and Bones
Much like the raw material, Cobalt Ingots can be purchased from vendors, but they can also be crafted if you have a sufficient amount of Cobalt. In order to do this, you will need to seek out a Refinery. For those who frequent Sainte-Anne, you can simply fast-travel to the den for a reliable Refinery vendor. The shop can be found by taking the first left past the hecklers at the end of the dock and going to the stall opposite the blacksmith.
Object refinement is a fairly straight-forward process and merely requires that you provide the vendor with the raw materials, waited the indicated time for the process to be completed, and picking up the refined material. In order to have a Cobalt Ingot crafted, you will need to supply the vendor with 3 raw Cobalt.
If you are on the hunt for a quick and plentiful supply of Cobalt Ingot, you can acquire a significant amount by plundering the
Wawuvi Foundry
. This settlement is found to the north of the Sunken Goldmine outpost and will reward you with 40 Cobalt Ingot for a successful campaign.
