The first phase of the update will see the debut of some new characters, such as Sparkle and Black Swan, who have left fans in awe of their standout designs.
Honkai: Star Rail features a large roster of playable characters that have their own stories. Every update allows players to unlock some of these units, upon which they can build an entire team. As in Genshin Impact, characters receive their banner in random versions and remain available for a few weeks. Therefore, players spend their Special Passes when their favorite units are featured on a banner phase, which changes every three weeks.

Honkai: Star Rail has confirmed that Black Swan is a Wind unit that belongs to the Path of Nihility. She takes advantage of a powerful skill set, which lets her deal a significant amount of damage to enemies. Using her primary skill, Honkai: Star Rail‘s Black Swan deals Wind damage to enemies on the battlefield, with a chance of reducing their defense for a few turns. The character’s technique inflicts a stack of Arcana passive, while the ultimate applies the Epiphany effect that allows the character to deal more damage.

Using her powerful talent, Black Swan can trigger useful effects when Arcana stacks cause damage at the beginning of the round. Moreover, she inflicts DoT (damage over time) on enemies and ignores an amount of their DEF by applying Arcana stacks. As for her ascension, Trailblazers will consume Ascendant Debris and Extinguished Core materials to upgrade Black Swan.
Once version 2.0 is released, Black Swan will be featured in the first phase alongside a five-star rerun character, Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae. Then, another Penacony-based character, Sparkle, will finally be introduced to Honkai: Star Rail in the second phase, which will reportedly run from February 29 to March 26.
As Honkai: Star Rail update 2.0 draws near, leaks about the upcoming content surfaced online, revealing that a number of optimizations will be added to the relic system. Players will filter their valuable relics based on their state and salvage them much faster than before. Besides, Fate’s Atlas will now showcase events that occur in the game and the navigational menu will be represented in 3D in certain places.
