Palworld has been shattering numerous records in its first week and even surpassing Fortnite. With more than 8 million players in total, the survival game has already attracted a massive player base. This number is expected to grow with more content updates coming later this year.

What makes Palworld’s growth even more impressive is the fact that the game is not available on PlayStation, the most popular gaming console. Despite Palworld only being out on Xbox consoles and a PC, it’s turned out to be a serious competitor to Fortnite.

Palworld takes over Fortnite

Fortnite has been one of the most popular games of all time. Epic Games’ title has millions of daily active players and a peak of more than 15 million concurrent users. However, Palworld may dethrone it very soon. In fact, it has already been dethroned on Xbox in the United States.

According to Circana’s Player Engagement Tracker, Palworld surpassed Fortnite in daily active users in the US on Xbox. Players spent more than 200 minutes on average playing the new video game, which is an impressive figure.

Palworld is currently available for free on Game Pass, which is a big reason why it’s become so popular. However, surpassing Fortnite is a massive achievement, even if it was only for one day. While the race between the two games is still very close on Xbox, it won’t be surprising to see Palworld leave Fortnite in the dust.

In its first week, Palworld’s peak on Steam was just above 2 million concurrent players. Fortnite, on the other hand, peaked at 4.6 million concurrent players over the past seven days. However, it’s important to note that Fortnite is available on numerous platforms, including mobile phones and Nintendo Switch, which is not the case for Palworld.

Palworld on PlayStation would likely double the number of active players, and we hope that it will arrive on Sony’s gaming console soon!
