Despite being one of the biggest mobile games out there and for a time dominating every third ad on the internet, there hasn’t been anything momentous or groundbreaking to come out of Raid: Shadow Legends for a while. That is until Plarium announced this crossover with a world-renowned Capcom franchise.

The world of Raid is dark and full of dangerous foes, so it is time to recruit some new allies from a series that sees players facing down monstrous behemoths; Monster Hunter. These two giants come together to release five Legendary Champions from the Capcom vault, equipped with exclusive armour and weapons crafted from the likes of Rathalos, Zinogre and Fatalis.

To make sure this isn’t just completely fan service, Plarium and Capcom have banged their heads together repeatedly to ensure these five characters represent as much of the Monster Hunter player base as they can. Each of these champions will have skills that mirror those available to equip in the Monster Hunter games, so you can get that Leonardo DiCaprio meme ready.

If you have been a bit busy recently, don’t worry, as this event lasts until March 5th, so you have quite a while to complete your team. Simply log into RAID for seven days and you will get started with the Rathalos Blademaster Legendary Champion, with the other four up for grabs through exclusive missions until the collaboration ends.

Plariums VP of Business Development, Ronen Gross, said of the collaboration: “We are thrilled to bring players an exciting new collection of Champions based on some of the most celebrated monsters in the Monster Hunter universe. It was an incredible experience collaborating with Capcom to perfectly blend both franchises and create something that feels similar yet completely unique.”

RAID: Shadow Legends is available to download now from the App Store and Google Play.
