Tails of Iron gets free end-game DLC Expansion “Bright Fir Forest”

Welcome back, fearless travelers. The bravest sovereign rat of all time awaits you at the Festival of Leaf Fall accompanied by a host of new friends, a brand-new faction of endearing rodents, and the customary self-invitation to the celebration of the fetid frog army.

Tails of Iron

Greetings, Royal Rodents, and fans of Tails of Iron!

Following the release of the Bloody Whiskers DLC, a completely free update released in November 2021 on PC and Consoles, Odd Bug Studio and United Label are thrilled to officially announce an end-game new expansion dedicated to the story of Tails of Iron, available today on all platforms, excluding Nintendo Switch, which is set to receive the update in 2024.

The new expansion, titled Bright Fir Forest, follows the well-received Bloody Whiskers, a brief DLC dedicated to a bloody tournament and a tantalizing glimpse into the end-game lore of Tails of Iron. This new chapter sees our noble Rat King Redgi invited by the Squirrels to celebrate the Festival of Leaf Fall. However, a new foul and revenge-seeking adversary threatens to ruin the celebrations.

Unlike Bloody Whiskers, Bright Fir Forest will be a true story-focused expansion, featuring 13 new quests that guide Redgi to the heart of Castle Drey and the ancestral home of the Squirrels. Additionally, the expansion introduces three new challengers at the Mole Arena for the valiant Redgi to vanquish.

Much like the previous DLC, this new expansion will significantly expand our King’s arsenal, providing a greater variety of weaponry and armor to forge and wield on the battlefield (96 in total). Additionally, there are more options to customize Redgi’s seat of power – The Crimson Keep – with eight new cosmetic upgrades available.

But that’s not all. Bright Fir Forest will also enrich the OST, adding four new music tracks, along with three new extra achievements to unlock.

It’s worth noting that, with the announcement of the expansion, Odd Bug Studio and United Label have also revealed that the Crimson Knight Paid DLC, previously exclusive to the physical version, is now available for everyone to purchase, including the following content:

  • 3 Armour Skins
  • 3 Weapon Skins
  • 3 Shield Skins
  • 3 Helmet Skins

And most importantly, how wonderful and comforting it is to hear the charismatic and fantastic voice of Doug Cockle, the narrator of Tails of Iron, after the unfortunate events he has experienced in recent months. Hearing his voice resonate in the Bright Fir Forest trailer was truly a delightful sensation.

So, are you ready to return to the battlefield, to wield your sword once again and bring the crown back to the forefront of battle? Redgi and the Faction of Squirrels await you!

The Bright Fir Forest expansion is now available on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One.

That’s all for today. See you in the Forest.
