Epic Games has a whole bunch of free games for you to try out and indulge in. I am prone to succumbing to the call of free games thanks to my mobile gaming origins, so overqualified to advise you on the best free games out there.
The Best Epic Games Free Games for you to try
Below is a list of the best free games that can be found on Epic Games for you to try out. Considering the invisible price tag, there’s no reason why you shouldn’t try them all out. It’ll be easy to convince your friends, also, and they’ll have no excuse not to give your recommendations a go, this time.
This list isn’t ranked, as these games cover all manner of tastes. These are simply the best ones from any genre available on Epic Games. So peruse the list and pick a game, any game.
Fortnite
I know what you’re probably thinking. Either you either love the game or renounce it, I get it. I was in the renounce camp as I didn’t enjoy this hugely popular Battle Royale. However, these days, Fortnite is less a game and more of a hub of several awesome games. Battle Royale is merely one game you can play out of the many free games available.
LEGO Fortnite, Rocket Racing, Fortnite Festival, and many, many user-created games await in one tidy package. There simply will be something that you’ll enjoy – and it’s all free to play! You can’t go wrong, so get some buddies and hop into one of the many free games that Fortnite now provides.
Genshin Impact
Genshin Impact is another game that many will discount purely from the associated culture. However, behind your perceptions of Genshin is a widely popular game that’s all free for the taking. So a lot of you may have to put your pride aside and check it out. You’ll probably find that you’ll enjoy it very much.
This MMO game features a vast magical world with a ton of content for you to sink your teeth into. With regular events and updates, the game is constantly feeling fresh. Also, Genshin Impact benefits from a story that you can follow, for those narrative fans out there. Alternatively, you can skip through all the dialogue and get to the action.
The Sims 4
I must have missed the memo, as I was highly surprised to see The Sims 4 as a free game on Epic Games. I remember when this game came out, it blew up on YouTube for a time and it was considered one of the best life sims out there.
Note that a lot of content for the game is locked behind DLCs that you pay for separately. Although the base game itself is worth checking out, be mindful of the hidden price tag for most of the content the game has to offer.

Destiny 2
Pretty much everyone knows about Destiny 2. I was biased against it simply because it was a popular MMO game, but when I finally downloaded it and played it, I had a blast. The sheer amount of content may seem overwhelming, but you can play through Destiny 2 however you want to.
Destiny 2, simply put, is extremely fun. You can even gather your friends and take the system by storm. And the moment it stops becoming fun, you can just drop it. It’s not like it cost you anything, right?
Fall Guys
Fall Guys is a silly and bumbly game of challenges, obstacle courses, and team games. There is scarcely a dull moment in Fall Guys, with every victory and even every defeat being a laugh riot. There is a huge range of minigames and challenges in every run, and finally claiming victory truly feels incredible.
Fall Guys is another game that got a lot of attention, so those who aren’t fans of mainstream games may give this one a pass. But honestly, you should check it out with some friends for a more light-hearted evening of goofy fun.
League of Legends
You’ve probably made up your mind already. I have been none too partial to the game, mostly from online indoctrination, but also as multiplayer games like this have a limited shelf life in my mind. That being said, League of Legends is truly a huge game with a lot going for it, and surely it’s worth a playtest.
In League of Legends, you’ll be partaking in rather big 5v5 battles, where the success of a team is dictated purely by the skills of the players and how well the team functions together. There are many champions to choose from, too, from well-clad warriors to a literal bee. Give it a shot. Several millions of players around the world can’t be wrong!
CRSED: F.O.A.D.
CRSED: F.O.A.D is my favorite battle royale game of all time, and I don’t like battle royale games. The memories of playing this game with my friends are certainly treasured, and we didn’t even play it that much.
With a great weapon feel and exciting supernatural abilities, this very strange game is always a blast to play. Even if you’re not partial to battle royale games, I’d implore you to give it a chance, as it will provide fun for you and your friends. In fact, I’ll redownload it right now.

World of Warships
An absolute classic that has stood the test of time, World of Warships is for any history fan or intense combat fan in general. You’ll scarcely find a better game for naval combat. With you being able to control all the aspects of your vessels, you’ll have to be strategic to sink them before you’re sunk.
With even details like the caliber of your ammunition coming into play, the historical accuracy combined with the precision of its systems delivers tight and intense gameplay. Besides, it’s free, so play a couple matches to see if it’s your style, as it’s a rather unique game.
Rocket League
Rocket League is one that I slept on, but since trying it, I’ve found it to be more enjoyable than I thought, even if I am terrible at it. The skill ceiling is so incredibly high, and yet it caters to casuals like me. I’m sure you’ve seen footage of this game all over your feeds, of the insane plays and jumps performed by these cars. Those clips are a blast to watch, and the game is even more fun to play.
What makes this game excel for me is how much fun could be had playing with your buddies. Whether goofing around or igniting your competitive side, Rocket League accommodates whatever playstyle works best for you.
Warframe
Warframe is another live-service action game set in a mystical setting, however, don’t let the saturation of that premise discount you from trying out this game. There is a lot on offer, with numerous places to visit and loads of game modes to enjoy. Not only will you be fighting your way through complexes of defending points, but you’ll also have free reign on the surface of some planets.
I really enjoyed my time with Warframe, and I can already feel the urge to play it again after writing about it. There is so much to do that you can’t go wrong with it. Like anything, it’ll be even better with your buddies but is a joy to play alone.
Now that you know all about the best free games Epic Games has to offer, why don’t you check out how to transfer your Rocket League Cars to Fortnite’s Rocket Racing?
