Surging up to a 97, he’s just one below the top rating in the game as there are currently no 99 OVR players in 2K24. Nevertheless, he’s making his case to be the best.
Giannis Antetokounmpo rises again in NBA 2K24 player ratings update
Giannis Antetokounmpo is one step closer to being the top rated star in NBA 2K24. The latest player ratings update saw him move from 96 to a 97 OVR, which leaves him just one shy of top-rated superstars Nikola Jokic and Joel Embid. The Milwaukee Bucks forward has been on a tear recently, putting up statlines that look positively absurd.
He recently had 64 points and 14 rebounds in a game. He also had a game in which he had 32 points, 13 rebounds, and six assists. He’s been a dominant force, and the superstar forward is rising up the ranks as a result.
He’s not the only notable star to have their ratings change, either. Most notably, Luka Doncic continued his MVP campaign by rising up to a 96 OVR. He’s surging as well and finds himself just behind Antetokounmpo and Jokic/Embiid. Anthony Davis also rose to 93 OVR.

- Cade Cunningham, -1 to 83 OVR

- Anthony Edwards, -1 to 89 OVR
- Zion Williamson, +1 to 89 OVR
- Jalen Brunson, +2 to 89 OVR
- Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, +1 to 95 OVR
- Joel Embiid, +1 to 98 OVR
Several other NBA stars saw their ratings rise and fall. With the ebbs and flows of the NBA season, NBA 2K24 player ratings updates attempt to capture players in their current form, hence why Antetokounmpo and Embiid have risen and why Cunningham and Edwards slipped down a bit. The ratings likely will continue changing and evolving as the season continues to unfold.
