Diablo 4 update today makes the Uber Unique grind easier for a limited time

Blizzard has released a new Diablo 4 hotfix today, and the latest update doubles the Uber Unique drop rate you can get after defeating the terrifyingly powerful Echo of Duriel. It’s worth noting, however, that the booster drop rate is only available until January 8th, 2024. With this in mind, we’d recommend grabbing a few friends, collecting as many resources as you can, and grinding out the difficult endgame encounter as much as possible before the new year.

In addition to the doubled Uber Unique drop rate, the Diablo 4 update today has introduced a Vampire Power tweak to Metamorphosis. Metamorphosis’s Unstoppable duration, instead of scaling with your Vampiric power level, has now been changed to a flat rate of 2.5 seconds at all levels. In addition, the developers have also increased its damage from 80%/120%/160% to 110%/180%/250%. If you find that Metamorphosis’s in-game tooltip hasn’t reflected these changes yet, don’t worry; these will be tweaked later on through a separate update.

If you’re currently waiting for another chonky update from Blizzard, you’ll have to remain patient for the time being. The development team revealed in their last Campfire Chat that they would be taking a break for the holiday season, so the next significant patch will likely be released in the coming months. Game Updates

• Echo of Duriel drop rates for Uber Uniques will now be doubled until January 8th.

• Vampire Power Update:
  • Metamorphosis: Unstoppable duration changed to a flat rate instead of scaling with Vampiric power level.
    • Unstoppable duration changed to 2.5 seconds at all levels. No longer increases per level.
    • Damage increased from 80%/120%/160% to 110%/180%/250%
  • Note: Metamorphosis in-game tooltip will not reflect these new values, and will be updated at a later date through a client update.

Bug Fixes

• Fixed an issue where in extreme cases, Charged Bolts would result in stability and performance issues.
