Armored Core 6 is getting ranked online matchmaking tomorrow, developer and publisher Bandai Namco has announced.
The update bringing this new feature will allow you to battle other Armored Core 6 players in ranked online play, and a leaderboard will be available to show other pilots who’s number one.
As well as the new ranked online matchmaking system, tomorrow’s Armored Core 6 update is also adding new parts to help you enhance your mech’s loadout.
You can look forward to new PvP maps being added, too, so you’ll have new arenas in which to duke it out with your friends (or, indeed, with randoms).
Lastly, the update is bringing personalized nameplates so that everyone on the leaderboard will know who you are. If you’re into Armored Core 6 PvP, then this update is the one for you.
In case you’ve missed out on the Armored Core 6 hype, the game is the latest in From Software’s long-running mecha action series.
If you’re new to the franchise and you’ve come to From Software games from the Souls series, you should be aware that this definitely isn’t a Soulslike; it’s a fast-paced mission-based action game that places an emphasis on building the right mech for the job.
Despite not taking cues from From Software’s flagship franchise, Armored Core 6 does still feature some massive and impressive bosses to take down, and its difficulty should give seasoned From Software fans a run for their money.
Released in August this year, Armored Core 6 has proven popular among gamers, although it hasn’t managed to get anywhere near the impressive sales performance of last year’s Elden Ring.
If you’d like to check out Armored Core 6, you can pick it up right now on PC, PlayStation consoles, and Xbox platforms. Still on the fence? Check out our very own Samuel’s review to see whether this is the mech adventure for you.
