LEGO Fortnite isn’t the only mode getting updates, as the classic battle royale has also received several tweaks, including a massive SCAR nerf. The developers have also introduced several balance changes to a few different weapons, meaning the in-game meta should noticeably shift over the next few weeks.
Unlike the most recent LEGO Fortnite update, however, this latest battle royale patch contains a few more tweaks since several weapons are being affected. That said, if you want to know what all of the changes are, we’ve covered all you need to know below.
Latest Fortnite update nerfs SCAR and Snowball Launcher
As mentioned before, the most significant change included with this patch is the nerf to the Striker AR, more commonly known as the SCAR. Since Epic Games added it to the battle royale as part of the Chapter 5 Season 1 update, it has become one of the most used weapons in the game due to its power and high rate of fire. Unfortunately, Epic Games has now decided to lessen its damage, meaning you may have a more difficult time taking down enemies in matches with it.
In addition to the SCAR nerf, the developers have also reduced the Snowball Launcher’s mag size from 6 to 4 and the Reaper Sniper Rifle’s drop rate, so the former will now be much more challenging to use in certain scenarios, especially with its slow reload rate. Fortunately, Epic made up for these changes by providing buffs to a few pieces of equipment, including an increase to the Thunder Burst SMG’s mag size as well as a damage increase to the Range Pistol, Shield Breaker EMP, and Ballistic Shield pistol.
Epic Games has also promised “to release an update next week with more improvements,” so even more changes should arrive to the battle royale soon.
