God of War Ragnarok players will need to find all three Boat Captain Keys in order to unlock the You Again? Trophy in Valhalla.
In addition to a bunch of new content and a few really cool completion rewards, God of War Ragnarok‘s Valhalla DLC provides players with twelve new Trophies. Most of these will be unlocked automatically during a standard playthrough of Valhalla, but there are one or two that can only be obtained after finishing the main story. You Again? is one such Trophy.
God of War Ragnarok Valhalla Chapter List
Though it’s combat that drives the experience forward, God of War Ragnarok’s Valhalla DLC still packs an awful lot of story into its six chapters.
In order to unlock the You Again? Trophy, players will need to find all three Boat Captain Keys, though the game doesn’t really give much indication as to where these might be. Some players may be wondering whether they’re hidden away behind the locked gates inside Sanctuary areas or in some hard-to-reach chests. As it turns out though, finding the Boat Captain Keys is actually incredibly simple if players know where to look.
Where to Find All 3 Boat Captain Keys in God of War Ragnarok Valhalla
Players will be able to find the Boat Captain Key in Valgrind, which is the very first area of Valhalla where God of War Ragnarok players choose their weapon path. It sits in front of the giants’ painting of Kratos to the right of the pathway forward and emits a hard-to-miss purple glow. After a certain point, the key will always appear in the same location. However, as mentioned above, the Boat Captain Key will only start to appear once players have completed the main story of Valhalla.
To find all three Boat Captain Keys, players will need to complete multiple attempts in Valhalla. Sadly, dying or returning to The Shore straight after collecting the first key won’t spawn the next one, though that’s not to say that players need to defeat Tyr two more times to get all three keys. This is because the next key will start to show up after Kratos has spoken to Mimir about the previous one, which takes place when the pair arrive in the realm before Greece. The Trophy will unlock as soon as players pick up the third key, so they needn’t progress any further after that. In subsequent runs, they’ll be able to find other items from Kratos’ past, including the flute of Kratos’ daughter, Calliope.
The realm before Greece is determined by which weapon path players choose at the beginning of their run. If they choose the Blades of Chaos it will be Muspelheim, while choosing the Leviathan Axe will see players visiting the Niflheim Sanctuary instead. If players opt for the Draupnir Spear, the penultimate realm that they visit will be Helheim instead.
