Today Bethesda teased quite a few interesting elements coming to its popular RPG Starfield over the next few months.
Posted on Reddit by a representative of the developer, we hear that the developers are hard at work on many issues signaled by the community.
An update coming in early 2024 will include FSR3 and XeSS Support, on top of a number of “in progress” quest fixes. This will allow players to resume bugged quests they have already started without having to resume their adventure from a previous point.
That being said, that’s not all we’re getting. besides official mod support, which we already knew about, the folks at Bethesda are working on features demanded by the community including city maps, “all-new ways of traveling,” and more.
On top of that, the developers are planning a regular cadence of updates roughly six weeks apart, but smaller hotfixes like the one released yesterday fixing the pet asteroid are also possible in between the bigger patches. While some updates may take time, it’s because Bethesda is playing it safe, testing every change thoroughly, no matter how small.
Starfield is currently out for PC (both on the Windows Store and on Steam) and Xbox Series X|S. A Game Pass subscription will also provide you with access to the game if that’s your cup of tea. A couple of weeks ago, Phil Spencer himself announced that the game has passed 12 million players.
If you want to join the bandwagon (or perhaps the bandstarship?) but haven’t grabbed a copy just yet, you purchase one for Xbox Series X|S on Amazon, if you so wish.
