Honkai: Star Rail announced the next special program for Version 1.6. Honkai: Star Rail previously revealed the new banner characters for the next update, which includes five-star units Ruan Mei and Dr. Ratio, and four-star Xueyi.
HoYoverse had an exciting showcase during this year’s The Game Awards. Honkai: Star Rail won Best Mobile Game, and HoYoverse thanked its fans by giving away 1,600 Stellar Jades they can use to pull banner characters. Honkai: Star Rail also released a teaser for its next world, Penacony, and even revealed a new character named Acheron. This may mean that the new features will come out very soon.
Honkai Star Rail Chart Shows Most-Used Characters in Version 1.5
A new chart from Honkai: Star Rail highlights the most-played characters during the first two weeks of the RPG’s Version 1.5 update.
Honkai: Star Rail fans are in for a treat as the Version 1.6 Special Program will be streamed via the game’s YouTube account on December 15. Titled “Crown of the Mundane and Divine,” the broadcast will feature special guests Herta, Ruan Mei, and Screwllum. Just like previous Special Program streams, Honkai: Star Rail will provide a rundown of Version 1.6’s banner characters and their abilities, showcase new limited-time events, and even give a quick tour of new locations if there are any. There will also be redemption codes for Stellar Jades and other resources throughout the program.

Many Honkai: Star Rail fans expressed their excitement about the upcoming Version 1.6 Special Program. They were particularly thrilled that members of the Genius Society would be the guests during the stream. This might mean that the Genius Society will play a big role in the update, including a possible new Simulated Universe event.
Honkai: Star Rail Version 1.6 may also debut the European-inspired world Penacony. This will signal the much-awaited continuation of the Trailblazers’ main story, where they will meet new allies and face new enemies. It’s still unknown whether Penacony will have a Stellaron crisis just like in Belobog City and Xianzhou Luofu, so it will be interesting to see the challenges that the Trailblazers will encounter in the next world.
Version 1.6 will be Honkai: Star Rail‘s final update for the year. The next update will reportedly be Version 2.0 featuring rumored banner characters Hanabi/Sparkle and Black Swan. The latter appeared in Honkai: Star Rail‘s teaser during The Game Awards, so she’ll likely be playable in the near future, along with Acheron.
