Today is a big day for Microsoft Flight Simulator add-ons, with plenty of releases including high-profile aircraft and airports.
We start with the F-14 Tomcat by IndiaFoxtEcho and Heatblur. This majestic navy fighter has been reproduced in the most minute detail based on the popular version Heatblur created for DCS World.
It’s available on the official in-sim marketplace, Orbx Direct, Simmarket, and Heatblur’s store for $34.99. It includes the following features:
- Extremely detailed 3D models
- F-14A and -B variants included, with a total of 37 accurate liveries
- Realistic flight model and avionics
- “Jester” module to emulate presence of a RIO in the backseat
- Detailed models of Forrestal-class carriers (static sceneries) included
Another major release comes from ACO Design Studio, and it’s Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport (RCPT), one of the largest airports in the world and the main airport in the country of Taiwan, close to Taipei’s metropolitan area.
It’s available on the official in-sim marketplace for $21.49. I apologize for the quality of the screenshots, but the official marketplace doesn’t have a way to view full-size images without the interface in the way, for some unfathomable reason.
That being said, ACO Design Studio’s quality is usually very high, and what we can see is at least comparable to their Kaohsiung Airport, which is really good.
If you’d rather purchase the airport for an external marketplace, the developer mentioned that it’s coming to Simmarket in two weeks. It will also be released for Xbox before the end of December.
Next, we stay in the realm of big airports with Frankfurt (EDDF) in Germany by Aerosoft. The developer released the first video showcasing the work-in-progress airport, and you can watch it on its official forum.
It’s only 28 seconds, but they’re very good 28 seconds.
Moving on to smaller airports, Simulación Extrema released Comandante Espora Airport (SAZB) serving Bahía Blanca, Argentina.
It’s available on the official in-sim marketplace for both PC and Xbox for $12.99.
We stay in South America with Santa Maria Airport (SBSM) in Brazil, released by UK2000 Scenery.
It’s available on Simmarket for $15.75 including the following features.
- Full detail Buildings
- Realistic Ground Markings
- Hi Res ground image
- Stunning Night Effects
- High details Airport Vehicles
- Excellent Frame Rates
- Full set of signs

The next airport release is Queen Tamar Airport (UGMS) serving Mestia, in Georgia.
It’s available at the developer’s own store for €8.90, including the following features.

Lastly, Flight Sim Development Group released its landmark package portraying the German state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
It’s available at the developer’s own store for €9.99 including over 1,000 individual objects in the state
