Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 Reveals Ventrue as Fourth Playable Clan

Today Paradox Interactive and The Chinese Room revealed that the fourth playable clan for the upcoming action RPG Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 is Ventrue.

If you pick Ventrue as the clan for Phyre, the customizable protagonist of the game, you will be able to dominate and mesmerize your enemies and resist attacks by fortifying your own defenses.

This time around, no trailer has been released for the clan, unlike previous reveas, but you can check out the Ventrue powers in action in the screenshot below.

Considering the Ventrue attitude toward leadership and domination, it’ll certainly be interesting to see how this clan choice may affect storytelling, albeit for now there is no clear information about that. The Chinese Room is keeping its cards close to its chest.

Here’s what your character Phyre may look like if you pick a Ventrue as her clan, keeping in mind that you can customize elements like gender and looks, so you’re not stuck with what the artwork below portrays.

This reveal follows the announcement of the other three clans included in the game at aunch, the Brujah, the Tremere, and the Banu Haqim. Paradox has already announced that two additional playable clans will be released as DLC after the game’s initial launch. These DLCs are also said to change the way the game is played.

Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 is coming in fall 2024 or PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. The first gameplay reveal has been promised for January 2024.

The game was initially developed by Hardsuit Labs, but then Paradox removed the studio from the task in 2021, causing an indefinite delay followed by a long silence that made fans wonder whether it’ll even return under the spotlights. It was then re-revealed this year and developed by The Chinese Room.
