WWE’s Bianca Belair and Becky Lynch Break Massive Gaming Record

Highlights

  • WWE Superstars Bianca Belair and Becky Lynch broke the world record for the largest video game display, playing Pac-Man on a 100K square-foot screen at the 2023 Esports Awards.
  • Belair and Lynch are not only champions in the wrestling world but also popular characters in WWE games and Fortnite.
  • This record-setting game of Pac-Man showcases the impact that these trailblazing performers have had on both WWE and the gaming world.

WWE Superstars Bianca Belair and Becky Lynch recently broke a world record for the largest video game display during a less-than-ordinary round of Pac-Man. The Man and The EST of WWE are no strangers to the gaming world, as both former Women’s Champions are featured as playable characters in WWE 2K23 and several other WWE games. Additionally, Bianca Belair and Becky Lynch were recently added to Fortnite as character skins earlier this year, joining a host of other real-life celebrities to be featured in the highly popular multiplayer battle royale shooter.

Fittingly enough, Bianca Belair and Becky Lynch were present at the 2023 Esports Awards at Resorts World in Las Vegas, which was held on November 30 to honor major achievements across the competitive gaming landscape over the past year. Developer Riot Games had a major presence throughout the event, winning awards for both Esports Publisher of the Year and Esports Game of the Year for Valorant. The players and teams honored at the show include Team Vitality, which was named Esports Organization of the Year shortly after celebrating its tenth anniversary, and Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok, who was awarded Esports PC Player of the Year.

WWE 2K24 Announcement Could Be Coming Soon

New evidence suggests that 2K Sports could soon be pulling the curtain back on the inevitable, but still unannounced, WWE 2K24 video game.

Even more history was made when WWE Superstars Bianca Belair and Becky Lynch, alongside eSports players Kyle “Bugha” Giersdorf and Alex “Golden Boy” Mendez, played a 10-minute game of Pac-Man on the Resorts World tower’s 100K square-foot video screen at the end of the 2023 eSports Awards. As reported by Casino.org, this display set the Guinness World Record for “Largest Digital Video Game Display,” which was previously set at 25K square feet. Before the game, Bianca Belair even joked that she didn’t need her glasses to play given how large the display was.

This is hardly the first time someone has found a creative outlet to play Pac-Man on, as the quintessential arcade classic of the 80s has been ported to unlikely platforms like a TI graphing calculator over the years. The classic maze pattern of a standard Pac-Man level has also been recreated in more modern titles like Minecraft and Ark Survival. A farm in Idaho even shaped its entire 18-acre cornfield into a real-life Pac-Man maze way back in 2017.

With all this in mind, it feels somewhat fitting that a game of Pac-Man would set the Guinness World Record for the largest video game display of all time, especially one being played by such famous names as Bianca Belair and Becky Lynch. Both of these performers are regarded as trailblazers for their work in WWE, and now they have made a gigantic impact on the gaming world as well.
