Pay-to-win skins have been a part of Call of Duty for years, some notably more popular than others, like the Black Noir. One of the pay-to-win skins that have carried forward from Modern Warfare 2 to Modern Warfare 3 is the invisible Gaia Operator Skin. Although the Gaia Operator Skin has been around for a while, it has caused a lot of controversy among players.
Despite the controversy, the Groot skin remains among the most sought-after pay-to-win skins. Its unique tree-like look makes it stand out on the battlefield, adding a unique touch to a player’s character. Players who want to rock this skin should know how to get it in MW3.
Modern Warfare 3: How to Unlock Royalty Tiger Camo
Getting the flashy Royalty Tiger Camo in Modern Warfare 3 comes at a hefty price; here’s how to unlock it.
How to Get The Gaia Operator Skin
To get the Gaia Operator Skin in Modern Warfare 3, players must buy the COD Season 6 Battle Pass. After purchasing the Battle Pass, players have to progress to sector F11. While in the F11 sector, players have to earn XP by completing challenges and objectives to unlock the Groot skin. Earning XP is pretty straightforward in Call of Duty, but if players want to earn XP fast, they should complete weekly and daily challenges.
Another great way to earn XP fast in MW3 is to kill Zombies in the Zombie mode or to complete weapon challenges. Certain weapon challenges can earn players more than 8,000 XP. Completing the F11 Sector will automatically unlock the Gaia Operator Skin, which players can use on Nova.
It’s essential to note that players who complete the F11 sector without purchasing the Season 6 Battle Pass will not earn the skin. The only way to get the Groot Skin is to part with $9.99 to obtain the premium battle pass. On the other hand, the BlackCell Battle pass will set players $29.99 back. Players purchasing the BlackCell Battle Pass must complete the V4L3RIA sector before progressing to the F11 sector.
Season 6 of Battle Pass ends on December 5th, meaning players only have until this date to get the Gaia Operator Skin. However, in the latest Modern Warfare 3 November 30th update, the devs have disabled the Gaia Operator Skin temporarily. The see-through nature of the skin makes it impossible to see during combat. This means players can sneak up on opponents and take them down undetected. The unfair nature of this has caused many players to complain, which is why the skin is not available at the moment.
