Nexon and Nitro Studios have kicked off the fifth Season of their platform racer, KartRider Dift, in quite a big way. As well as a bevvy of new tracks to take your skills to, and the new racing pass with its rewards, KartRider has also teamed up with one of the biggest pop groups in the world; BlackPink.
Starting out strong, Season Five has introduced eight new tracks, a bumper number to be sure. The Graveyard and Factory themes have both received two new maps to dart around in. The Altar of Secrets and Skeletal Citadel are ready to give you a scare, whereas industrial buffs will enjoy the Trapworks as well as Bang and Clang. I’ll let you guess which set goes with which theme.
Meanwhile, the Moonhill area has opened its gates, a vast metropolis, complete with winding tunnels and busy streets. Central Station, Mean Streets, Streetcar Run, and Lawless Tunnell will all give you a run of the new area. What’s more, the Super Moonhill Event will net you a Golden Moon Kart and Moongill decals for completing missions across different game modes.
Of course, a new season means a new cash grab, I mean a season pass. There are a host of rewards to receive, and more if you upgrade to Premium, such as the Wolf Mask Raptor R at level 30, and the Polar Bear Uni and Monster rewards at 40. As you march through the ranks, you will also get Daily Rewards for logging in, such as Younger Twin Raptor L, Older Twin Raptor R, and more.
Finally, just to keep you waiting, the big collaboration. BlackPink is getting in on the drifting fun, with each of the four members getting their own decals. You can also earn emotes, two skins, and even the Pink Venom Supercar, which sounds perfect for the streets of Moonhill. To start you off, you will be a 4-set BlackPink Balloon pack just for logging in this season.
KartRider Drift is available to download from the App Store and Google Play.
