Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 has been out for nearly a month now. The game’s reception has been mixed, to say the least, but there’s no denying the series’ popularity remains staggeringly high. Activision has lots of content and updates planned for the future, and developer Sledgehammer Games has possibly teased bringing back the yeet finisher for MW3 players.
The season 1 start date for MW3 is right around the corner. It is set to arrive in early December, and it will bring lots of new content for players to enjoy. Of course, there will be a season 1 battle pass, and this includes a free pass as well as premium options, Accelerated and BlackCell. Fans will have to pay a hefty price for the BlackCell pass, and as a reward, they will get exclusive weapons and skins.
While season 1 should be lots of fun, the Call of Duty community has expressed an urge to see the return of what some consider to be the ‘best finisher’.
MW3 developer teases bringing the Yeet finisher back
Sledgehammer Games has possibly teased bringing back the yeet finisher for Modern Warfare 3 players. Call of Duty YouTuber PrestigeIsKey tweeted Sledgehammer Games saying ‘We need to bring the yeet finisher back for MWIII’. In response, Sledgehammer Games replied with the eye emoji. This indicates that the developer is listening and may possibly reintroduce the finisher in the future.
Naturally, this response has gotten many fans excited. One replied to Sledgehammer Games’ tweet saying it’s simply the ‘best finisher,’ meanwhile, most replies just echo Shia Lebouf screaming ‘Do it’. One fan even came up with an impressive concept of challenges called ‘yeetings from Urzinkstan‘.
This yeet finisher was introduced to Warzone with the Kong tracer pack. There is a Godzilla x Kong New Empire movie coming out in April 2024, and it’s more than feasible there would be a crossover event in Warzone 2.0/MW3 seeing as both Goliaths have entered the Call of Duty battlefield before. If a crossover does happen again, this is when we could possibly see the return of the yeet away from WWE’s Jey Uso.
