Today Sega released a new trailer with English voiceovers of the upcoming mainline Yakuza game Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth.
While we had already heard most of the voices before the trailer showcases two actors who we hear for the first time, Danny Trejo as Dwight Méndez and Daniel Dae Kim as Masataka Ebina.
Of course, we also hear most of the cast as well, including the protagonists and their friends, on top of a few antagonists. It’s a good overview of the performances of the whole English cast.
Daniel Dae Kim’s character Masataka Ebina is the de-facto leader for the Seiryu Clan while the current chairman is stuck in jail.
Danny Trejo’s character Dwight Méndez is the boss of the Hawaiian gang named the Barracudas, and controls one of the world’s biggest market for counterfeit goods. He’s armed with a machete and certainly feels like one of the best matches between voice and character in the English cast.
Of course, the Japanese voice track is still available for those who prefer to hear the original actors. You can check the trailer out below and hear for yourself.
Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth will launch on January 26, 2024, for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
I tested the game at Tokyo Game Show, and if you’d like to know what I (unsurprisingly) think about it, you can read my detailed hands-on preview.
You can also enjoy another trailer from a few weeks back, a gallery of screenshots showing off the various locations that we’ll be able to visit inn the game’s rendition of Honolulu, and a previous batch of screenshots focusing on the cast that you saw in today’s trailer and another showcasing combat and the job system, which make a comeback from Yakuza: Like a Dragon.
