Today, Dragon’s Dogma 2 director Hideaki Itsuno announced that the release date of the game will be announced tomorrow.
The announcement, made on the developer’s personal X (formerly Twitter) account, mentions that the release date will be “formally” revealed.
The “formally” is likely a reference to the potential leak by the PEGI rating board, which marked the alleged release date as March 22, 2023.
Itsuno-san’s wording feels like a confirmation of the leak, albeit that’s just my interpretation and I could be wrong.
Whatever the case, we’ll have less than 24 hours to the announcement, which will happen during a livestream tomorrow at 1:00 p.m. PST, 4:00 p.m. EST, 9:00 p.m. GMT, or 10:00 p.m. CEST, depending on where you live.
The livestream will last 15 minutes and will feature new gameplay reveals for our perusal, so we have more than the release date to look forward to.
It’s worth mentioning that Capcom appears to have another big game in store for the next four months, so the Osaka-based publisher and developer may be preparing to throw a powerful one-two punch.
Dragon’s Dogma 2 will come to PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
If you’d like to hear more about this highly anticipated game directly from Itsuno-san himself and producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi, you can read our in-depth interview from Tokyo Game Show.
You can also check out our hands-on preview from an extensive gameplay session including 20 minutes of PS5 gameplay for your perusal. I have to say that I really enjoyed my time with Dragon’s Dogma 2, so I’m really looking forward to knowing for sure when it releases.
Of course, you can expect a full report of tomorrow’s event, including the release date, here on TechRaptor, as soon the reveal is made.
