Today CD Projekt RED and Purearts revealed a new collectible dedicated to the super-popular RPG The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
It’s a 1/1 scale reproduction of the helmet of Eredin Bréacc Glas, the main antagonist of the game, and it’s certainly rather imposing and most definitely as spiky as you expect.
It’s also a limited edition as only 150 units will be distributed worldwide for the “Exclusive” edition including Eredin’s brooch, while another 850 will be distributed for the non-exclusive edition. It’ll ship in Q1 2024.
It’s available now for pre-order, and the price is $499. While it’s certainly expensive, you can imagine that it’s not expensive enough to be made of steel. That’d probably cost a lot more. It’s actually a replica made in polyresin.
It includes a removable skull-shaped face plate like the original helmet and a stand modeled on Eredin’s sword.
You can check it out in the trailer below.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is currently available for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC. It’s extremely popular, having sold over 50 million copies as of earlier this year.
While the game has been out for a few years, work on it hasn’t finished, and it’s getting a mod editor next year, which will likely open the floodgates to a lot of user-generated content.
Work on the new Witcher game in Unreal Engine 5 has been ongoing for a whiue, with an increasingly large team currently developing it at CD Projekt RED.
The Polish developer is undergoing big changes including the election of two new join CEOs, former CD Projekt RED head of studio Adam Badowski and former chief commercial officer Michał Nowakowski.
In the meanwhile, a crossover collaboration with Destiny 2 has been announced, including cosmetics and goodies inspired by Geralt of Rivia.
