Pacific Drive, the upcoming run-based driving survival adventure title, is getting a physical edition, exclusively for PS5, courtesy of publisher Maximum Games. The news surfaced through a listing on VGP’s website, as initially reported by Gematsu. According to the website, the physical edition of Pacific Drive is slated for release on December 31, 2024, although it’s likely that this date is merely a placeholder, given the game’s official announcement for an early 2024 launch.
Specifically, VGP is offering an exclusive retail variant known as the Pacific Drive Deluxe Edition, which includes the base game, a set of 3 art cards from the heart of the Olympic Exclusion Zone, a 24-page traveler’s journal, a deluxe sleeve, a reversible coversheet; as well as pack of in-game cosmetic items for your station wagon. This deluxe physical edition is currently available for pre-order at a price of $49.99 CAD.
Developed by Ironwood Studios, Pacific Drive challenges players to face supernatural dangers on each expedition into the Olympic Exclusion Zone. Before driving into the action, players will make a base of operations in an abandoned garage, where they will research new parts, customize their station wagon, and chart routes deeper into the Zone. As they gather precious resources and investigate what’s been left behind in the Zone, players will learn what it takes to survive in this unpredictable, hostile environment.
Since its introduction during the State of Play event in September 2022, Ironwood Studios has consistently teased Pacific Drive through new trailers, building anticipation among eager fans awaiting its impending release. The trailers showcase Pacific Drive‘s promising experience, highlighted by its impressive graphics and engaging gameplay mechanics.
In addition to its release on the PlayStation 5, Pacific Drive is also set to launch on PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store in early 2024.
