While attention is on Baldur’s Gate 3 for its nominations at The Game Awards and upcoming Xbox Series X/S release in December, it’s also receiving a physical Deluxe Edition in Q1 2024. It will be available for Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC, and include a collectible box, the OST on three discs, a double-sided map, two patches, 32 stickers and more.
It retails for $79.99, and while all the goodies might make you think otherwise, it’s not a limited edition. On Twitter, Director of Publishing Michael Douse said, “Stock is holding steady, with more waves being prepared within the Q1 2024 shipping window.” Thus, interested buyers should avoid scalpers. “If you see them online being resold based on confirmed preorders at higher prices, skip it. There won’t be stock scarcity.”
Douse added, “We confirmed a minimum order, but we already blitzed past that on the first day, and the Q1 shipping date allows us to simply increase wave sizes without jeopardizing the shipping date, so we don’t expect any issues within that four-month buffer window. WEIRDLY ORGANIZED, considering it’s us.”
He affirmed that Baldur’s Gate 3 will get more patches and interestingly hinted at one possibly dropping in the coming months. “We aren’t currently sure what patch version the disc version will include because it depends on timings, but it should be at least the latest patch as of now.” It implies that Patch 5 could arrive before the physical Deluxe Edition launches. Stay tuned for more updates in the meantime.
Baldur’s Gate 3 is available for PS5 and PC, with the release date for the Xbox Series X/S version to be revealed at The Game Awards.
Just FYI the Deluxe Edition is *not* a limited edition and stock is holding steady, with more waves being prepared within the Q1 2024 shipping window, so if you see them online being resold based on confirmed preorders at higher prices, skip it. There won’t be stock scarcity.

There will be more big patches for BG3. We aren’t currently sure what patch version the disc version will include because it depends on timings, but it should be at least the latest patch as of now.
