As the much-awaited launch of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League approaches, Rocksteady Studios and Warner Bros. Games are gradually shedding light on its exciting features. Today, a brand-new trailer has been released, offering a sneak peek at the story and gameplay of this action-adventure game and fifth main installment in the Batman: Arkham series.
Set in the expansive open-world Metropolis, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League‘s story unfolds five years after the events of Batman: Arkham Knight. Amanda Waller assembles the Suicide Squad, comprised of Arkham Asylum inmates Harley Quinn, Captain Boomerang, Deadshot, and King Shark, in response to Brainiac’s takeover of Metropolis.
As DC Super-Villains, players will save the world by liberating the Justice League from Brainiac’s control, utilizing iconic DC tools and gadgets as they move around the city at pace. Each Super-Villain harnesses distinct abilities for combat and skills in traversing the open-world Metropolis.
Harley Quinn enhances her natural acrobatic prowess with Batman’s Grapnel Gun, swiftly navigating vertical terrain by grappling on nearby rooftops. Deadshot soars through the Metropolis sky with Gizmo’s jetpack, offering an unparalleled degree of precision to the master assassin.
Captain Boomerang wields a prototype Speed Force Gauntlet developed by Doctor Sivana, using his boomerang to focus its abilities. King Shark unleashes his demigod strength to barrel through hordes of enemies, leap great distances, and come crashing to the ground in a wave of destruction.
Alongside the preview of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League‘s story and gameplay, Warner Bros. Games has also announced that both standard and deluxe versions of the game are now available for pre-order.
