Developer Hotta Studio and publisher Level Infinite have revealed new details about the next major Tower of Fantasy update.
Version 3.4 of the game will be titled “Butterfly in the Abyss” and will arrive on November 21st. It’ll follow on from last month’s 3.3 update, which took players to the icy land of Marshville.
In update 3.4, you will venture deeper into Marshville, exploring a new area called the Forbidden County.
As you can imagine, it’s not a particularly pleasant or hospitable place. Two new bosses call the Forbidden County their home: ex-Alabaster Guard chief Nin Yin and “half-human, half-fish” entity Merbelle.
New enemies in the form of “bat-like creatures such as Hidewing and Rockwing” will also be added, and you’ll get the chance to take them on throughout the Forbidden County.
The Field of Execution is getting new gameplay in this update as well, with players banding together to defend Marshville against the encroaching Darkness and potentially win some “abundant rewards”.
Tower of Fantasy is a free-to-play gacha action RPG with more than a tinge of Genshin Impact about it.
The game is set in a world where humans have fled their homeworld in order to colonize the planet of Aida, where countless new mysteries and experiences await.
Throughout Tower of Fantasy, you’ll find adventures to take on either solo or with other players, and you’ll also be able to build teams from a diverse pool of characters like Huang, Yu Lan, and Liu Huo.
Tower of Fantasy also features a combat system whereby you can switch between weapons and weapon types on the fly, creating dynamic combos with different properties.
You can check out Tower of Fantasy for free right now on PC, PlayStation 5, and mobile devices. Stay tuned for the latest on this one.
