Genshin Impact will be picking up its’ latest storyline on November 8th, with 4.2s Masquerade of the Guilty continuing its look into Teyvat’s latest region. At almost record pace since opening its’ doors in 4.0, Fontaine is on the brink of destruction as the Primordian Seawater is on the brink of submerging the nation and dissolving all Fontainians.

Travellers will help stem the tide by tacking the All-Devouring Narwhal, a new weekly boss that deals massive AoE damage, as well as The Foul who resides within. Meanwhile, another big bad has reared its head in the form of the Hydro Tylpa, a boss who can buff itself by absorbing Half-Tulpas.

To assist you in your efforts you can now recruit the Hydro Archon Furina, a five-star sword user who can switch between two Arkhe alignments, and can attack and heal. Also hoping to be part of the next big story is four-star Cyro reporter Charlotte. Using her Kamera Monsieur Verite, she can heal and deal Cyro damage within a field.

As you fight to beat back this new threat, more of Fontaine unveils itself to explore. The Erinneyes Forest and Morte Region to the east are open for Travellers, with the Forest in particular in dire conditions. Polluted by mysterious bacterial mats, you can help restore this great place with the help of the Xenochromatic Ball Octopus.

If you need a break from nation-threatening disasters, then check out the new mini-games. Help upgrade Thelxie, the clockwork penguin, by completing circuits, collecting colourful shells and corals, or through good old-fashioned combat. A new Fungi event will also give players the chance to train and command them to tackle powerful enemies. Finally, level up your Kamera in Fontaine’s photography event.

Genshin Impact is available to download from the App Store and Google Play.
