Activision servers cover all the Call of Duty game servers and if they are down, you’ll want to know about it. Luckily, there are a few easy ways to check if Activision servers are down.
How to check Activision server status
If the Activision servers are down, then you’ll experience issues when trying to connect. The first thing I recommend doing is checking to see if there are issues on Activision’s side. If there are, then you have a valid reason for the issues you’re experiencing. If the servers are fine, then the issues are likely being caused by something on your end.

The best way to check to see if Activision servers are down is to check Down Detector. There is a dedicated Call of Duty servers Down Detector page which includes a user-reported outage graph and a way to log an issue yourself. You’ll also see user comments below.
With Down Detector, you can get a good sense of what is happening with the Call of Duty servers. You can see if the reports are because of server connection, login, or gameplay issues. I use Down Detector all the time as it’s a great site to see what servers are experiencing outages.
The other best place to check if Activision servers are down is Call of Duty Updates on Twitter (or X). This Twitter account is the official source for all Call of Duty updates which includes bugs, errors, fixes, patches, and server status updates.
If you’ve checked both of these places and neither of them say there are Activision server issues, then the problems you may be experiencing are likely on your end. When that’s the case, you need to try restarting the game, restarting your device, checking your internet, and possibly reinstalling the game.
