We love capybaras. These giant aquatic rodents look like massive guinea pigs, they’re super chill, and they seem to get along with absolutely everything. But.. what if they didn’t? That’s the world of Extremely Powerful Capybaras, an upcoming top-down bullet hell where these gentle giants have abandoned the way of peace and made themselves ready for war.
In Extremely Powerful Capybaras you take on the role of one of these guinea bigs and take them for a roguelike ride through hordes of enemies. You can tackle it solo or rope in up to three friends to accompany you on your journey.
There’s online and local co-op, so you can all gather around for rodent violence.
Classybaras
There are different classes of capybara, each with their own weapons and particular talents, as well as goofy design. A bard capy, a rogue capy, and one in a bird skin… are they a capybarian?
It’s a roguelike, so of course you get to pick up new weapons and items along the way. Knowing what to pick is a big part of the challenge.
The other part of the challenge is tackling increasingly dangerous foes to try and get as far as you can. Once you die, it’s right back to the beginning again, such is the fate of all roguelike characters.
A Relaxing Soak
On the bright side, you do at least have a hot tub to chill in with all your capybuddies in between runs, so at least there’s a bit of time to unwind.
