The Finals is already gearing up to be an impressive newcomer to the shooter genre. Taking inspiration from one of my favorite shooters, Battlefield, there’s a lot of growth potential. Just like other shooters, The Finals has many weapons that you can unlock. This guide will show you the best ways to unlock both weapons and gear in The Finals quickly. So dominating the enemy team will come with ease.
The Finals: Best ways to unlock weapons and gear quickly
The shooter features a battlepass, but most of the best weapons can be earned by just playing. But with that being said, some methods are slower than others. To get better gear quickly, follow along below.
As you progress through The Finals, you’ll get more XP which results in leveling up. Every time you level up, you’ll gain a ton of money to buy new equipment. To speed up the leveling, simply complete the challenges, or play Quick Cash. You can do both of these methods at the same time, but note if you want to get a lot of XP at once, win the match. Tournament mode might be a way to go, but there’s a high chance of losing the match, which results in less XP gained.

There’s also a premium currency that goes towards the skins you can buy in the in-game store. However, you won’t need this to unlock weapons. Unless you’re investing to play super hardcore in The Finals, you could ignore the paid currency.
How to unlock and equip gear
If you have enough money, you can go into the Equipment option in the main menu. From there, you buy items depending on if you have enough. Once you’ve bought what you need, navigate to the Contestants menu and you’ll be able to pick what items you’ve unlocked.
Note that each body type has its own set of weapons, so make sure you’re getting the right weapon for the right type. Otherwise, you may spend money on something you don’t need. This is something I’ve done several times, and the game does not explain it well.
