New Fortnite V-Bucks prices kicked in on Friday in many countries. Epic Games adjusted the price of Fortnite’s premium currency due to inflation and other economic factors. Due to this, many players now have to pay slightly more than they did in the past.
Epic announced the increase of V-Bucks prices last month, allowing players to stock up on them before the new prices kick in. Unsurprisingly, many players use this time to purchase big V-Bucks packs and save a few dollars.
Interestingly, some players received more than 50,000 V-Bucks for only $1. Epic Games made a mistake with these prices and fixed them shortly after. However, players who grabbed this amazing deal were allowed to keep their premium currency.
Epic Games made a mistake with Fortnite V-Bucks prices
The latest Fortnite V-Bucks pricing change has affected millions of players. Many countries, including the United States and Eurozone countries, had their prices increased in the videogame. However, players from Hungary had a chance to grab a 13,500 V-Bucks pack for only $0.25.
The biggest pack of V-Bucks costs $89.99 in the US, but it appears that Epic Games accidentally made its price 89 Hungarian Forints as well. Considering that one Forint is worth only 0.0028 US Dollars at the moment, the pack cost only $0.25.
To put it into perspective, the pack of 13,500 V-Bucks is supposed to cost 27,000 HUF (Hungarian Forint), which comes down to approximately $74.35. Fortunately, players who purchased the largest pack of Fortnite V-Bucks were allowed to keep them, Epic Games announced on X.
This is not the first time that Epic has made a mistake with V-Bucks pricing. However, most of these mistakes give players only a couple of minutes to get amazing deals before the company fixes them. After a quick fix by Epic, the pack of 13,500 V-Bucks now has the correct price in Hungary and every other region.
