The Xbox Partner Preview broadcast just went live, featuring a lineup of upcoming titles, including Embark Studios’ THE FINALS. This free-to-play first-person shooter is set to kick off its Open Beta test tomorrow, October 26th, and will run until November 5th, available on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam.
With the Open Beta of THE FINALS, fans will get a sneak peek at the unparalleled chaos and destruction this game has in store. The beta supports cross-play and cross-progression functionality, allowing players to seamlessly switch between PC and consoles.
One of the headline features of the Open Beta is the introduction of the Skyway Stadium arena, adding to the Monaco and Seoul map rotation that was previously introduced during the Closed Beta. An all-new “Bank-It” game mode will also be available, challenging four teams of three to battle against one another for coins. In this casual-friendly, combat-focused mode, the team that reaches the max limit first, or the team with the most cash banked at the end of the round, wins.
Additionally, THE FINALS Open beta includes a free BattlePass with 16 exclusive, permanent rewards that players can unlock and keep for launch. During this phase, competitive players can also aim for one of the five leagues, such as Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond, each offering permanent rewards. Those who reach the Diamond tier can look forward to receiving an exclusive Legendary Diamond Weapon Skin. The beta will also feature 20 Weapons, 26 Gadgets, and 9 abilities for contestants to choose from, as well as improvements to performance, movement, team play, and more.
Embark Studios’ primary objective with the Open Beta is to validate the improvements and changes made since earlier PC testing. Participants in this test can look forward to an exciting experience and play a crucial role in the game’s development by offering valuable feedback.
While the official release date for THE FINALS remains undisclosed at this time, fans can expect Embark Studios to reveal further details by the end of the Open Beta testing phase.
