The never-ending complaints against MW3 TTK have been well-documented early on in the game’s lifespan, as many within the latest series installment’s community have often suffered untimely deaths even after peppering enemies with plenty of bullets. For this reason, some are now asking Sledgehammer Games to bring back one crucial Black Ops Cold War feature: the “Damage Dealt” indicator displayed after every kill.

“Shoot first, die first” has become the mantra for many an MW3 player, as getting an early advantage over an unaware enemy often doesn’t guarantee a kill. And with the game’s beta period already taking place ahead of the Modern Warfare 3 release date, this frustrating phenomenon has been further scrutinized, leading to the community’s request to bring back the feature mentioned above from the 2020 entry.

“So many times I’m 100% confident of a kill, and suddenly I’m dead with the game telling me this guy hit 5 shots on me for 150 damage,” said GazzaGEUW in a post on Reddit. “Please tell me [the damage dealt], so I know if I’ve just been unlucky or the game decided I’ve not spent enough money to win the gunfight.” Redditor exxx01 then commented: “Cold War had this figured out. It displayed the damage, and you got to see health bars, both yours and the enemies.”

For those unfamiliar, MW3 TTK, according to data from XclusiveAce, is tied for the second-longest in series history with Black Ops Cold War. Because of the prolonged time needed to take down enemies, the return of the latter’s “Damage Dealt” indicator would do wonders for players frustrated at being killed by an enemy even after shooting first. Unfortunately, Sledgehammer Games has yet to respond to these player requests, so you may have to remain patient for a little while before this feature gets reintroduced.
