Despite the fact that Modern Warfare 3 has only just kicked off its second beta weekend, players are already pulling off some amazing feats in the game.

One of those is DeanoBeano, who isn’t just playing as you or I might pick up the controller (speaking of, here’s our pick for the best MW3 controller settings), but instead has rigged his set-up to allow him to play through the medium of a recorder. Yes, the woodwind instrument! He uses the unusual method to control his gameplay, and already managed to net an incredible six kill streak on MW3’s Skidrow map.

In the clip, DeanoBeano struggles a little with movement as he attempts to leap through a window, but eventually manages to get his rifle looking down the map’s infamous long corridor, and looking down his scope offs an enemy at the other end before carefully lining up his next shot to kill their buddy. Another opponent soon follows to try and claim the tags – as they’re playing Kill Confirmed – but he lets him pass for now.

Soon after, two more run in at very close range, netting him an amazing two in one shot, before the player he let go earlier makes the ill-advised attempt to rush him and gets a bullet for his trouble and cementing his 5 kill streak. As Deano laughs at the ludicrousness of the situation comes the cherry on top, his laughter winds up activating his Recorder controller setup and inadvertently kills one more person who tried popping up to clean up the dog tags and giving Deano his sixth kill before his luck finally runs out. It’s an incredible clip, and even after watching we’re incredibly impressed at how it played out.

Honestly, it’d be pretty funny even without the recorder, but the noises from the wind instrument make this clip hilarious and certainly have given some choice reactions. “Imagine finding out that you were the guy who got no-scoped by accident from a dude playing on a recorder! Impressive stuff.” says PeakGamingFB and we can’t help but concur. You can see more of his recorder-powered gameplay over on DeanoBeano’s Twitch channel.
