The recent Modern Warfare 3 multiplayer trailer also brought some bonus news in the form of some confirmation of the maps that’ll be featured in this weekend’s MW3 beta.
Thanks to the official PlayStation version of the trailer, we now know which maps players will get to jump onto come the MW3 beta start time later this week. They’ll include some classic remasters of MW2 2009 maps that are sure to please long-time CoD fans including Favela, Highrise, Skidrow and Rust. You can check out all of the maps in the PlayStation MW3 beta trailer below.

The MW3 beta maps will include the following locations:
- Favela
- Estate
- Rust (Now Live!)
- Skidrow
- Highrise (Now Live!)
- Popov Power Plant (Ground War)
- Orlov Military Base (Ground War)
We’ve also been told there’ll be another Ground War map in the beta, we’ll update this page when we know what it is.
Five of these are taken from the sixteen iconic MW3 maps remade from MW2 2009 and given a spruce up for the new entry in the Call of Duty series. The beta meanwhile is set to take place across two weekends, with PlayStation users getting first dibs this weekend before PC and Xbox owners can also join in one week later from next Friday. Those people who pick up the Modern Warfare 3 pre-order will get early access, with everyone else getting in soon after. The sixth location appears to be a Ground War map – one of the larger scale maps introduced in Modern Warfare 2019, and as such doesn’t have a MW2 2009 equivalent.
Later this week, we’ll also be getting a COD Next broadcast with more on the new game, as well as more details on Warzone Mobile and more so stay tuned. For more on the MW3 beta, check out MW3 beta – how to redeem Modern Warfare 3 beta code and Does MW3 beta support crossplay?.
