In Stars And Time is the upcoming game that stunts a gorgeous black-and-white aesthetic, with an art style ever so slightly reminiscent of Cuphead, but gameplay that feels Undertale inspired. This fluid blend between toony and morbid puts you, the protagonist, in an endless time loop, aching to free yourself and friends.

What would you do if you were forced to relive your failures over and over? The burden of your reality will take you through many RPG-style adventures. Meet unique creatures and characters, some friends, but most foes. Can you escape time and find a better future for you and your friends? Is there any hope left at all?

In Story And Time

The story begins with Siffrin, the rather stylish protagonist in his cute pointed hat. Siffrin and their found family of friends who are bound together by fate team up to defeat the evil king from his tyrannical reign. However, just as victory lingered in arms reach for the team, tragedy struck.

Time resets, creating the first of many loops with no obvious escape. Now Siffin and friends are bound to repeat the time loops over and over again. New secrets and mysteries are uncovered each time. Join them as they edge closer and closer to the truth with each repeat. The literal weight of the world rests upon Siffin’s shoulders, but who will break first?

In Stars And Time is so packed with diverse characters that feel three-dimensional and eerily alive. Plus brilliant sound design really pushes the standards of the game higher. Again I have to put it in the realm of Undertale since it seems so inspired, but it works effortlessly well for the tone of ISAT! This game has has easily become one of the more anticipated releases across the indie scope recently. And, it arrives just in time for Christmas!
