It’s hard to step into a fantasy or real-world setting after playing a game in a cyberpunk setting. This genre is a mixture of sci-fi and dystopian themes, coupled with futuristic technology, artificial intelligence, and cyberware. If you just recently finished Phantom Liberty, Cyberpunk 2077’s DLC, here are 10 of the best games to satisfy that cyberpunk craving.
10 best games to play if you like Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty
Deus Ex series
This is a very long-running video game series, starting from the year 2000, all the way up to Deus Ex: Mankind Divided in 2016. With six beloved games in this series, you should highly consider playing any of them.
I’ll recommend starting with the most recent one from 2016, as it’s the latest in the series. You play as Adam Jensen in the year 2029, where mechanically augmented humans are now outcasts of the world. There are meaningful choices, and consequences to your choices. This is certainly very cyberpunk-esque, with its cyber-humans and futuristic setting.
Signalis
Released in 2022, Signalis is a survival horror game set in a dystopian future. You control Elster, a technician Replika looking for her lost dreams. Sounds wild, right?
The pixelated 3D art style, with the grim and dystopian setting, makes for a striking game. Not only is it sci-fi, but it’s inspired by cosmic horror and the works of Stanley Kubrick and Hideaki Anno. If you like the sound of that, try this game out.
Ghostrunner
If you like fast-paced first-person action, you’ve got to try out Ghostrunner. Set in a cyberpunk world and an original setting, you’re dropped into some hardcore slasher gameplay. This is definitely the Dark Souls of cyberpunk games.
You must climb Dharma Tower after a world-ending cataclysm occurred. Along the way, you’ll face hundreds of violent enemies as the most advanced blade fighter ever. If you enjoyed wielding katanas in Cyberpunk 2077, you’ll absolutely love this game. Oh, and its sequel is releasing October 2023.
Citizen Sleeper
Looking more for a narrative-driven tabletop cyberpunk RPG? Citizen Sleeper is the perfect game for you. You play as a sleeper, who is a digitized human consciousness inside an artificial body, owned by a corporation looking to get you back.
Citizen Sleeper is inspired by tabletop RPGs, using Dice, Clocks, and Drives to replicate the experience. Choose your own path in this sci-fi-rich world, survive, and make friends. This is such a unique-looking game that I had to add it to the list. And don’t forget that a sequel is on the way!
Cloudpunk
If you love the cyberpunk aesthetic, but you’re more of a casual gamer, I have something just for you. Cloudpunk is an atmospheric open-world sci-fi game where you work for a delivery service.
Explore this vast, beautiful city of Nivalis as Rania. Working for Cloudpunk, a semi-legal delivery service, you can drive through the clouds and get the job done. This is a story-based exploration game, so no need to worry about fighting enemies. Relax, get some snacks, and play Cloudpunk.
VA-11 Hall-A: Cyberpunk Bartender Action

Are you a fan of games like Coffee Talk, but you also love the cyberpunk genre? In VA-11 Hall-A: Cyberpunk Bartender Action, you play as a bartender in a post-dystopian world.
Nicknamed ‘Valhalla’, you operate a small downtown bar, meet interesting citizens, and experience a unique visual novel. With quirky pixel graphics and a cyberpunk vibe, this is a great casual game.
Stray
Separated from your family, you’re a scared and lonely cat in a cyberpunk world. Stray is a beloved adventure puzzle game where you play as an orange cat, looking to find your family in an unknown city.
The setting is vibrant, quirky, and filled with friendly robot people. There are a few dangerous creatures roaming around, so you just have to outsmart them. Explore the cyber city as you befriend B-12, a tiny flying drone that helps you along your adventure.
Red Strings Club
If you’re looking for another narrative, story-rich experience, The Red Strings Club just may be your vibe. In yet another cyberpunk setting, you’ll uncover a mysterious corporate program promising a blissful existence, making you debate what happiness really means.
This is a game that deals with very intriguing themes, while you also become a bartender, just like a similar game in this list. Not only are you mixing psychological cocktails, but you can also design genetic implants and assume the voice of important figures in this Social Psyche Welfare project. It wouldn’t be cyberpunk without some corporate espionage.
Katana ZERO
This stylish, neo-noir action-platformer brings along exhilarating combat and brutal acrobatics. Katana ZERO is another pixelated indie game with an enigmatic story told through cinematics.
With each level, you get uniquely designed sequences with deadly foes. You have to think smart when approaching your enemies. The visuals are dazzling and busy in this hack-and-slash. This has an ‘Overwhelmingly Positive’ review on Steam, so don’t ignore this pick.
The Ascent
For the final pick of this list, The Ascent is a solo and co-op action shooter RPG. A mega-corporation owns you and everyone you know, while The Ascent Group has just collapsed. You must survive in this packed and vibrant cyberpunk world.
The cool thing about The Ascent is that you can play it alone or with a friend! It’s an explosive shooter with multiple weapons and lethal gadgets to choose from. You can also customize your character with cyber-ware to fit your playstyle. And like any RPG, you get skill points while you level up to try out different augmentations.
