We’ve had our first look at the new Warzone map – and it’s actually the same map that’s debuting as part of the MW3 Zombies.

The new big map was shown off as part of the CoD Next broadcast, firstly in the context of the upcoming MW3 Zombies mode. But the location will also be playable as the brand new map in the free-to-play Warzone Battle Royale too. The reveal also comes just a day following part of the map briefly being glimpsed in the recent MW3 multiplayer trailer.

It’ll have eleven POIs, each of them said to be unique, and it also happens to be the home of the main character Farah. However, the unfamiliar setting and locations aren’t the only novel features that are being introduced with Urzikstan, as one specific scene during the event showcased another exciting element that all players should have plenty of fun with at launch. We are, of course, referring to the fact that you will have the chance to hijack and commandeer a train that runs across the map.

According to Activision’s lengthy blog post, squads that successfully take control of the train will be able to make it travel forward, backward, or stop it entirely. There will also be a Buy Station, and UAV Tower found within it, giving your team an unfair advantage that will undoubtedly make you the target of several would-be attackers. Keep in mind that the collapsing circles won’t always be centered on the locomotive, which means seizing it won’t always be a viable strategy.

With all these exciting new features set to arrive alongside the Modern Warfare 3 release date, there’s never been a better time to learn more about the next installment. That said, we recommend taking a look at our MW3 weapons, MW3 maps, and MW3 Ground War mode ahead of time so you can learn more.
