Want to learn about the Diablo 4 max level? After a rough reception for its first season, Diablo 4 is back with some major upgrades in season 2. Fans are still excited to get back into the swing of things after a middling first season.

With that said, you may now be wondering about a few specific aspects of the game, such as the max level cap that you can reach. As for the other changes, learn more in our Diablo 4 Season 2 release date guide to Season of Blood. It brings with it a host of welcome improvements, especially to Diablo 4 gems.

What is the level cap in Diablo 4?

The max level in Season 2 of Diablo 4 is level 100. Those who are able to reach the threshold will still be able to continue playing well into the endgame with activities like Diablo 4 Whispers of the Dead. However, the experience you gain by slaying demons via endgame activities like Diablo 4 Helltides will not be counted any longer. Diablo fans can still get stat boosts via legendaries and other weapons to take part in Diablo 4 Nightmare Dungeons or PvP multiplayer on PC and consoles.

Keep in mind that this level cap will take a long time to hit in Season 1. Fortunately, Season 2 makes it 40% easier to level up after hitting level 50. Gaining a level between 1 and 50 nets you one Skill point. This unlocks new skills for your character (Barbarian, Rogue, Sorcerer, Necromancer, and Druid). You’ll reach this milestone after completing the main story and some of Diablo 4’s quests.

From level 50 to 100, you’ll earn Paragon points instead for the Diablo 4 Paragon Board and utilize Diablo 4 Paragon glyphs and nodes. Paragon levels are just as important to character-building, especially in hardcore mode when every buff could hone your Barbarian build further.

The good news is you’ll be able to create a total of up to five characters. This means you’ll be able to test out all five character classes and level them up to the current maximum level. Leveling up also opens up Diablo 4 World Tiers for a higher World Tier difficulty with better rewards and armor. You can earn up to a maximum of 58 Skill points as you level up in Diablo 4. This includes the bonus Skill points earned from gathering Diablo 4 renown via exploration. Earn enough renown from Altars of Lilith, side quests, and new regions to get up to 10 Skill points.

That covers the max level in Diablo 4. As you ramp up the world difficulty, you gain access to Diablo 4 unique items and an XP boost for tackling monsters and world bosses. It’s important to note that seasonal characters start from level 1. The progress and gear from other characters won’t carry over outside of renown bonuses.
