Cyberpunk 2077 has gone to Hell and back and is an entirely new game, one that many state it should have been at launch. Regardless, we are here now for the better or worse. A lot of things have changed for the RPG with its massive 2.0 patch. One of the things that may have changed is how we look and play the 3 Life Paths that you pick when first starting the game. Regardless of what build you’re making in Cyberpunk 2077, the Life Path you pick won’t interfere as much. Life Paths are a way to get you into the game, and this is done by having choices that will appear differently for each Life Path. So, this guide will place the Life Paths in Cyberpunk 2077 in a ranked list. Hopefully, it’ll help you make your decision to pick which one easier.

Cyberpunk 2077: Best and worst Life Paths, ranked

To start, as mentioned, there are no classes, but whichever skills you pick, the game may be a different experience from one player to another.

Best Life Paths – best to worst

  • Street Kid – For your first run of Cyberpunk 2077, this Life Path is probably the best way to go about it. It’ll show you all the gimmicks of Night City, and from my experience, get you faster into the game. Additionally, from playing as the Street Kid version of V, you can get dialogue options that won’t need you to shell out cash or even use violence. This can be attributed to V’s connection to the city. It’s a more intimate way to play the game. Plus, adding to the dialogue, a Street Kid can work well in the Badlands and other areas because of their knowledge. It’s an easier way to play Cyberpunk 2077.

  • Nomad – I picked this Life Path for my third playthrough. It’s probably the most different because you start in the Badlands, which is away from Night City. It also highlights different sides of the game that the other 2 Life Paths don’t. Going from the Badlands to Night City was a great experience because it shows the contrasts of each area. You have this brown barren landscape of the Badlands. Then, on the other side, there’s Night City’s neon glow that hones in the diversity of the world of Cyberpunk 2077. When playing in the Badlands as a Nomad, you’ll have fewer NPCs fighting you because you already know the law of the land. As for dialogue perks, this Life Path has more negotiation power than the other 2, which can help you get tons of free stuff. To get more into how the Nomad’s life works, you’ll also have some missions that are for your character’s origin. So it’s a cool Life Path if you want something different.

  • Corpo – Much like Street Kid but with half the knowledge. You’ll get access to certain parts of Night City that make sense for the high-class Life Path. On the other hand, you get somewhat more freedom than the Street Kid, but not enough for it to stand out. At certain moments of the game, you can get information better. However, the Street Kid who understands the world can do that better and without much of an issue. Unlike Nomad and Street Kid, it seems like Corpo has fewer unique dialogue options that matter to the story. But, they add personality to your V. Picking this Life Path after you understand how Cyberpunk 2077 works would be ideal here.
