Wondering if there’s a Monster Hunter Now soft ban feature? Well, for whatever reason may be that you find yourself in trouble with Niantic, I have the answers in this guide!

Monster Hunter Now is the latest entry in the Monster Hunter franchise! However, this one is a little different when compared to the rest. Niantic, the company that developed Pokémon GO is behind this brand-new project. It’s basically IRL Monster Hunter – what’s not to love? Hunt monsters using augmented technology and collect a variety of powerful weapons to help you along the way. Players can also unite with friends in battles against the more powerful foes in this ever-evolving game.

You can learn more about it on the official site. We also recommend checking out our Monster Hunter Now Tier List, how about this Monster Hunter Now Weapons Guide or Monster Hunter Now Great Sword build guide?

Psst, use our referral code to get some extra loot when your hunter rank reaches level 6! W2ECMXVD

Soft Ban

So what do I mean when I say soft ban?

What Is A Soft Ban?

A soft ban is a predicament a player may find themselves in where the game is still playable, however, the core features of the game seem stripped. For example, you may notice that your loot drop rate has drastically decreased. It makes the game seem slower, and more of a chore to play and enjoy.

How To Combat Soft Bans

After slaying monsters there is always the option to use Gems to increase your payout. If you notice a dip in rewards after battles then this may be a safe way to make sure you’re still earning enough for your efforts. Gems can also be purchased from the in-game store.

Do Soft Bans Actually Exist?

Probably not, no. The nature of RNG’s (random number generator) games means that sometimes it seems you roll in riches post-conflict, and other times not so much. After all, the RNG will pick a number at random from a set minimum and maximum by the team behind the game. Considering item rarity and the randomly picked amount, it becomes clear that you wont always see a ton of rewards after a win.

Hard Bans

Though I can’t confirm this, you may want to be wary of hard bans. Spoofing the game to change your GPS location in attempt to gain more loot, and scope out more monsters, could draw the attention of Niantic. In this case, they may hard ban your account, essentially wiping all your progress so far. I don’t think spoofing is worth the risk to be honest!
