Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 has Officially Gone Gold

Insomniac Games has made an exciting announcement, revealing that the much-awaited action-adventure title, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, has officially gone gold. This means that the development of the second main installment in the Marvel’s Spider-Man series is complete and ready to move to the manufacturing stage. More importantly, fans can now be assured that there won’t be any unexpected delays in the release. This significant milestone comes just a month before its scheduled launch date of October 20th, exclusively for PlayStation 5.

To celebrate this achievement, Insomniac Games has shared a special video, featuring the talented voice cast of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. The cast includes Nadji Jeter as Miles Morales, Yuri Lowenthal as Peter Parker, Laura Bailey as Mary Jane Watson, and Tony Todd as Venom.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 builds upon the success of its 2018 predecessor, promising players an even more groundbreaking gaming experience. It offers a new and exciting adventure, set within the vast open-world map of New York. Players will swing, jump, and use the new Web Wings to navigate the boroughs of Queens and Brooklyn as well as locations like Coney Island and more, both during the main story campaign and while free-roaming in the game. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 also allows players to quickly swap between playing as Miles Morales and Peter Parker, as long as they are in the open world and not in story sequences.

Delivering an immersive experience based on Marvel’s critically acclaimed universe, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 challenges players to battle against an array of both new and iconic Spider-Man villains. These formidable enemies include an original take on the monstrous Venom, the ruthless Kraven the Hunter, the volatile Lizard, and more.

For those eager to get their copy of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 ahead of the official release date, pre-orders are still open on the PlayStation Store.
