Starfield will be getting DLSS support for PC, patch notes have revealed. While it will not be included in this update, the notes which are currently on Steam confirmed Bethesda will be adding DLSS support to the game in the future.

The upcoming addition of DLSS was spotted in the recent Starfield patch notes, which said that along with stability improvements for the Xbox Series X / S version of the game, the PC version would be receiving DLSS support in the future.

In a blog post on the official Bethesda website, the developers confirmed they are ‘working closely’ with Nvidia, stating: “This first update is a small hotfix targeted at the few top issues were are seeing. After that, expect a regular interval of updates that have top community requested features including:

  • Brightness and Contrast controls
  • HDR Calibration Menu
  • FOV Slider
  • Nvidia DLSS Support (PC)
  • 32:9 Ultrawide Monitor Support (PC)
  • Eat button for food!

“We’re also working closely with Nvidia, AMD, and Intel on driver support, and each update will include new stability and performance improvements.”

The addition of DLSS for the game is a long time coming. One of the most popular Starfield mods was the Starfield DLSS mod, which drastically improved the performance of the game on PC for those with Nvidia graphics cards.

Furthermore, Bethesda confirmed they are working on theur built-in mod support that will work across all platforms. “This full support is planned to launch early next year,” they wrote.
