The latest Fortnite patch was released on Wednesday, September 6. While this was a smaller update, it still brought a couple of new items. Players can now use Shield Grenade EMP and Sticky Grenade Launcher, along with a few new Reality Augments.
These new items are fantastic, and players have already found a trick to get more wins with Shield Grenade. However, Epic Games has released a few more changes that haven’t been publicly revealed. One of these changes has drastically improved the game, and players love it.
Here’s everything you should know about it.
Newest Fortnite update has brought a much-needed change
With the release of Chapter 4 – Season 4, Epic Games has unvaulted several Mythic items from the past. Midas’ Drum Gun is back, along with The Foundation’s MK-Seven Assault Rifle and many other fantastic weapons. Kit’s Shockwave Launcher has also returned, but it hasn’t been very useful so far.
While the launcher is arguably the greatest mobility item in the game, the lack of rocket ammo has made it quite weak. The item is as good as it was during the second chapter, but many players decided not to use it due to the lack of rockets.
Fortunately, that has changed. Starting with the latest update, the drop rate of rockets has improved, which will positively impact all the weapons that use this type of ammo.
According to iFireMonkey, one of the most reputable Fortnite leakers, Epic Games has made rockets more common with the latest update. In addition to this, Supply Llamas now drop this ammo as well, which wasn’t the case before.
Considering that the Fortnite content update brought the Sticky Grenade Launcher, this comes as no surprise. While the improved drop rate of rockets will positively impact Kit’s Shockwave Launcher, Epic mostly released it for the new explosive weapon that came out on Wednesday.
