A research team from Germany infiltrated group chats on the Telegram messaging service in which men gave each other advice on how best to drug and rape women. These people sent evidence of their actions. Sometimes also as a live broadcast.
trigger warning
The content of this article may be disturbing. It involves physical violence against women, rape, drug abuse and sexual assault of children.
“If she didn't know it was happening, it wasn't rape.”
“Sleeping bastards are the best.”
“It starts with a shot of vodka and ends with sleeping pills and Vaseline on your butt. It happens every week.”
Men from all over the world send each other messages like this every day on the Telegram messaging service. The German public YouTube channel “Ctrl F” documented this in its latest research.
The research team snuck into dozens of Telegram chats. Some have more than 70,000 members from around the world. Within three months, they sent each other more than 7,000 messages.

The research team recorded exactly what could be read in these chats. One Telegram user wrote:
“I fantasized about drugging her and bringing other men home to use her regularly. I'm sure I would do this if we didn't have roommates anymore.”
But this isn’t just silly talk or boasting.
scene rape
Men in Telegram chats also mean what they say. They proudly share their photos and videos in group chats. “Ctrl_F” pixelates all these images. But what can be expected from them is this: naked, unconscious women. Users describe them as women who come from their circumstances: wives, friends, sisters, mothers.
In the chat, they shared photos and videos of how they abused the women. Usually follow the chat member's instructions. “Is there anything you want to see in her?” one user asked. Someone in the chat replied: “How about a spoon or a mobile phone?” The team pointed out: In the end, the man chose a spoon and sent the corresponding picture evidence.

In another chat, the user asked:
“Can you use her mouth?”
The answer was: “I'm trying.” After a while, a photo appeared of an unconscious woman with white liquid flowing from her mouth. Reactions in chat: Five hearts, eleven flames, a thumbs up and a “thank you.”
Over 200 users are reading. In other cases, more than 70,000 users watched and applauded sexual assault videos rather than reporting them. Therefore, these people think they are safe.

In live streams, videos and chats, the men reveal their faces, provide the real names of their victims and even reveal their addresses when offering to rape their girlfriends in exchange for money. You can pay easily via Paypal.
The men clearly felt safe. Don't trust them to face consequences for their actions. This may be true. Hundreds (sometimes even thousands) of users witnessed these alleged crimes. The alleged perpetrators were not reported or reported, but instead received a collective ovation. Especially if they provide “content” regularly.

Some users even go a step further and offer advice on how best to treat his wife or girlfriend. They promote various cosmetic products and share links to online stores that sell such products.
The research team ordered one of the funds from Hamburg. It's advertised online as “Sleep Liquid.” It arrived just four days later. Sent from Malaysia.
The packaging and instructions seem innocuous. This product is disguised as a hair oil. It works like any other care product: a glass bottle in a white packaging with the text: “Your health is important to us.” Only the pipette included in the package suggests an alternative use.

The research team should write to the seller after receiving the package. He responded immediately with detailed instructions on how to use the “sleep liquid”. Everything must be drunk, the effects will start after 30 minutes. This drug works best when mixed with alcohol. When asked if there was a danger, the seller replied: “No.”
The seller sent reporters a lengthy description of the “sleeping liquid” in the hair oil bottle.Bild: Watson screenshot
Volker Auwachter, a toxicologist at the University Hospital Freiburg, examined this apparent hair oil and clearly refuted it in the “Strg_F” article: The substance contained animal anesthetics, benzodiazepines and an antiemetic drug. Taking too high a dose alone may cause poisoning. “Sleeping solutions” are even more dangerous when mixed with alcohol.
Two things struck Auwachter about the product. First, if it's disguised as hair oil, it won't even be detected when the police search the house. Secondly, if KO drops are suspected, the standard toxicology tests used will not even show what is in the agent. Auwachter said in the “Ctrl_F” report:
“We've reached a new level.”
Reporter reports chat history to police
Journalists were so shocked by the contents of the Telegram chat that they decided to report it to the police. In the United States, Canada and Germany. In it you can see some users sharing sexual acts on unconscious women in the chat.
More than a year after the research team reported the chats to the Federal Criminal Police Office, the Federal Criminal Police Office still cannot confirm whether the chats have been investigated. It simply noted that for tactical reasons it was unable to provide any accurate information. The Federal Criminal Police Office also noted that such chat logs can also be reported to Telegram so that they can be deleted.
Telegram in turn announced the generality:
«Telegram has a zero-tolerance policy against abuse of its platform. Any user caught doing this will be immediately blocked. “
In the chat records reviewed by the reporter, it was clear that no one had discovered these more than 70,000 users.
tip of the iceberg
“Ctrl F” indicates that they started this research over a year ago. The topic has now acquired new explosiveness. The name of Frenchwoman Giselle Pellicot has been a household name since September. And their stories.
Her ex-husband Dominic Pellicott is said to have drugged and raped her for more than nine years. He also allegedly handed his unconscious wife over the Internet to dozens of men to rape her without her knowledge. The unknown men came to the Pellicots' home and did to the unconscious Giselle Pellicot what they had promised online: they raped her. Dominic Pellicott captured the action on camera.
A court in Avignon is currently deciding on Dominique Pellicot's punishment. There are also 50 co-defendants. The world is being shown the horrific acts that seemingly ordinary people in our society are capable of.
But what these men and Dominic Pellicott did was far from an isolated incident. It’s clear after reading the “Ctrl F” report. The team found men from all over the world chatting. Also from Germany.
Similar cases in Switzerland
“Ctrl F” does not mention whether the Swiss are also in the Telegram chat. However, it can be assumed that Swiss people also use these or similar group chats. There are also cases in this country of men drugging women and then raping them. It's not uncommon for them to use cameras to record their actions. Here is a small sampling of the headlines from similar cases in Switzerland:
The latest case comes from Thurgau canton. In early December, the Fraunfeld District Court heard a case involving a 39-year-old man who drugged, abused, assaulted, coerced and raped seven girls and eight women on multiple occasions over many years. He knew his victims well. They come from his circle of friends, relatives and neighbours. The youngest victim is said to be four years old. The other children are five, seven and twelve years old. The oldest victim was an 80-year-old woman.
He also filmed him in action. Police found numerous videos and photos of abused babies and children on his phone. There are also abused animals.
According to Thurgauer Zeitung, the defendant repeatedly confessed in court and apologized to the victim and her family. At the same time, he explained his behavior, saying that he had also been raped as a child.
The Fraunfeld District Court sentenced him to 15 years of unconditional imprisonment and 15 years of deportation for repeated sexual intercourse with children, sexual assault, rape, profanity, pornography and violations of the Narcotics Act. The verdict is not yet final. But this suggests that similar cases may be just the tip of the Swiss iceberg.
