Mbappe misses penalty kick – Real Madrid loses to Liverpool

World champion Alexis McAllister gave Liverpool the lead shortly after the restart. For a disappointing Real Madrid, Mbappe had the best chance when he took a penalty kick. The Frenchman's shot was blocked by Ireland goalkeeper Cowichan Kelleher. Then, at the other end, Mohamed Salah's penalty shot missed the post, but clown Cody Gakpo made it 2-0 moments later.

Benfica coach Bruno Lage made a substitution in the 65th minute to seal the victory. He brought in Swiss international Zeki Amdouni and former Basel striker Arthur Cabral. Benfica benefited from numerical superiority. Less than an hour later, Wilfried Singo was shown in yellow and red. Swiss Monaco's Denis Zakaria and Brel Embolo started, with goalkeeper Philipp Cohen coming on as a substitute.

Red Star Belgrade – Stuttgart 5:1

Stuttgart found nothing in the Serbian capital. The Swabians took the lead after just five minutes thanks to former St. Gallen player Elmedin Demirovic. Then, of all people, Silas, who is on loan from the Bundesliga club in Belgrade, equalized. Switzerland's Fabian Riedel and Leonidas Stergio made partial appearances after the break.
